Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps move heat rather than making it from fuel, and the listed models here do that through water: they heat and cool water for radiators, underfloor circuits and domestic hot water. The range is built around R290 models in split and monobloc form.
Illustrative diagram. Capacity figures are taken from the specification table on this page.
The 4–16 kW monobloc range and the 6–20 kW split range overlap. The system type, not the capacity alone, decides which suits a project.
Split and monobloc, in plain terms
A split air to water heat pump keeps the refrigerant circuit in two parts, with an outdoor unit and an indoor hydraulic unit connected by refrigerant lines. A monobloc keeps the whole refrigerant circuit in one outdoor unit and sends only water indoors, which simplifies the indoor work but puts the water circuit outside. The listed range has both: the Aeolus split model at 6–20 kW, and Deluxe monobloc models at 4–16 kW single-phase and 12 kW and 16 kW three-phase. A buyer choosing between them should start from the installation team available locally, because the two layouts need different skills on site, and from the climate: the split Aeolus description states stable output at minus 25 degrees Celsius ambient temperature, a figure that belongs to that model alone and is not extended to the monobloc models here.
Refrigerant and market notes
The heat pump models detailed on this site use R290, described in the Deluxe listings as a high-purity propane refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and very low global warming potential. No numeric global warming potential value is published on this site, because none is listed in the source description. The split Aeolus model is described for the European market with an ERP A+++ efficiency description. Title-level heat pump descriptions include a split series overview and a 3D DC inverter monobloc description, both without specification tables. One further heat pump listing whose title and description did not agree is not presented on this site at all, and no page here quotes it.
