Split Air Conditioners

Split systems — an indoor wall unit paired with an outdoor unit — are the core of this range. This page gathers the wall split and mini split listings together, so a buyer can compare mounting, frequency and refrigerant without jumping between series pages.

Split system capacities: 9,000 – 30,000 BTU as listed

Mini split is the common trade name for the same split layout in several markets. The listings use both terms.

What split means here

A split air conditioner separates the noisy compression work, which sits outside, from the quiet air delivery, which sits inside on the wall. That separation is why split systems dominate residential buying: the indoor unit can be slim, the outdoor unit can sit on a balcony or a wall bracket, and each room can be controlled on its own. The listings on this site describe that layout with terms such as wall split type, mini split type and 3D DC inverter, and the detail pages state which control options — remote control, smart app control, or both — are listed for each model. Nothing on this page describes installation work, because installation is a local service question, not a product listing fact, and it is confirmed by the buyer's local installer, not by this site.

Inverter, fixed-speed and fixed-frequency

The listed split range includes three drive descriptions. Inverter and 3D DC inverter models vary compressor speed and are described for markets that value part-load efficiency. Fixed-speed and fixed-frequency models run at a set speed and are described for markets where purchase simplicity matters more than modulation. The distinction is worth fixing early, because it interacts with the efficiency labels described in the efficiency guide: an inverter model listed for Europe carries an A+++ description, while North American inverter models carry SEER2 descriptions. Those labels belong to different rating systems and must not be compared as if they were the same scale.
